I've noticed this a few days ago, when I sync my vivofit with the Android app, the vivofit stops showing date/time information, and I can't get it back until I sync with Garmin Connect on a PC.
I stopped by the customer support and we found that if I sync using the PC garmin connect website, the date and time options are selectable on/off under the device settings and a sync will restore the display. If I use the app, only the date shows up under device settings, no time. Date and time format can be changed on the connect app, but have no effect since the display is disabled. A friend of mine had the same thing happen to him as well.
I haven't found any other reports of this on the forum.
