Why application is not compatible with Huawei Honor 3c?

Hello

I really like the Garmin Vivosmart and wish to buy it. According to requirements on the website my phone is fully compatible but in Google Play application "Garmin Connect Mobile" is not available :( I wonder why. I have installed it even on my old phone Sony Xperia Ray, tablet Galaxy Tab 2 and it is working fine but that devices has no Bluetooth 4.0 so they can't be used with Vivosmart.

I thought maybe it is not compatible with MTK platform but I have checked application on several friends phones with MTK and it is working, so why it is not compatible especially with Honor 3c?
By the way I have tried to install it from APK. No result. Got installation error (on several different versions of app).

Phone specs:
Model HUAWEI Honor 3C
Band 3G:UMTS 900/2100MHz; 2G:GSM 900/1800/1900MHz
System OS Android 4.4.2 (latest official firmware)
CPU MTK6582, Cortex A7 quad core, 1.3GHz; GPU: Mali-400
RAM 2GB

Data Transfer & Connectivity
GPS Yes, built in, also support A-GPS
WIFI Yes, 802.11 b/g/n, support DLNA, WiFi hotspot
Bluetooth yes,v4.0 (checked this with BLE app from Google Play and it is OK)

Two weeks past but still didn't get any answer to my question. Only standart email from support team with some standart reasons of incompatibility but nothing specific. All my suggestions to give me some benchmark app to test compability remains unaswerred. Is is strange becuase everyone wins in that case - me and other phone owners could buy the product and company receive new customers.

It is sad but now I have to buy Fitbit or some other fitness band.
  • If you can get your hands on the apk file, you could try side-loading it. When I upgraded Connect to the latest version, I kept the apk of an older version as a backup in case the upgrade caused issues (which it didn't). BTW, my phone (an Alcatel Pop Icon) is not on Garmin's compatibility list but it works perfectly.

I have a Huawai Y300 as a backup phone and it showed up for me as available for that phone in the Play Store

I've tried several APK of that application. Not one of them wasn't installed. Also in a email from support team they said that it is not possible to install original app even from APK if it is not available in play market. There is some kind of license check during installation I believe.
  • Which country? Perhaps there's a geographic restriction.

Ukraine. Nope, not in this case. I have two phones and one tablet PC on my account and app is not available only on this specific phone. It is available on old devices (2012 year), new (Xiaomi Mi3 of my wife) but restricted on mine. I have original firmware, no roots or some other modifications, meet all requirements (for example Mi Band is working perfect) but can't install app :(
