android tablets and the Garmin Connect app

Hi

is there a definitive list of products which work?

I was thinking of buying a tab to use it on, was thinking to buy an iPad mini, but the app looked dreadful ... plus it is clearly designed for iPhone not iPad as it even is invisible in the app store till you filter for iPhone (even though I was using an iPad).

I tried on a Samsung Note 3 and that was sweet, but I don't want to cough the bucks for that.

Will it work on any Andorid tab of Kitkat or higher?

Specifically I'm curious to try the Dell Venue 7 which on the surface of things would seem to do the trick
  • There is a basic list of phones that will work, but it's relatively sparse when you consider how many phones are out there. My phone is not on the list and I don't really expect it ever will be, but it works fine. However, BT 4.0 is obviously very important and 4.4.4 is a lot better than 4.4.3.

That being said, BT can be touchy and people have had issues before they were able to get it to work reliably.

thanks for your time and reply.

I think I'm going to give up. I feel a little "lied to" with the fine print on the systems, but then I'll just live with that. The whole thing is working for me now via my office PC so at least I can use it.
  • What device do you currently have? There have been a number of improvements over the last 2 weeks that increase the compatibility/stability for Android devices.
