NO SYNCING on Vivosmart

This doesn't seem to be a new issue for anyone, but I'm reposting because Garmin is not providing a solution or any feedback. My Vivosmart worked/synced for about one week. Now, it will not sync at all to my Samsung S4. Garmin Express doesn't upload any data from the wristband and the Garmin Mobile Connect app and Bluetooth connection does not remain connected and/or doesn't sync. Yes the band itself works, but without being able to see the information and do ALL the things Garmin claimed the vivosmart would do, then I just have $160 piece of junk plastic on my wrist. At the very least an acknowledgement from Garmin to the know problem and they are working it would be appreciated...but apparently they are too busy collecting money

    I'm a new user of Garmins products since Christmas like many other peoples, I knew that thé software was crap but not at this point ans did not imagined that the communication or support was such a crap...
  • I called Garmin yesterday about these issues and basically what I heard did not make me optimistic that this issue is going to be solved any time soon. The rep I was talking simply stated that they were working on it and tried to make me realize that it had only been two days. I told her yes about 2-3 days since the issue came back but that the sync and transfer of data only worked for about 2-3 days since the last fix. I also reminded her that these problems existed almost the entire month of December, half of November and in October. I completely agree that the Vivosmart is as of right not a "piece of junk plastic on my wrist" and I would be better off buying a $2 LIVESTRONG bracelet to remind me of my dedication to fitness. When we purchase the Vivo series of fitness bands we are not buying it for the band alone per say but for all the software and data that it is associated with such as GC and MFP. Without the interaction with the software these "activity trackers" (although doesn't track, it simply tells) are worthless. I purchased the Vivosmart from Best Buy when they had the exclusive rights to sell them and because of that Garmin will not take my return and due to Best Buy only allowing 15 days for a return, I am out of the money I paid for this black in color bracelet. While out the $180 I paid the one thing I did get was a great understanding of Garmin's desire to be in the activity tracker market and because of that, I see myself moving on to a different company. It is a shame to say that because I am big fan of Garmin's other products and the support they provide for them. Hopefully they get this turned around pretty quick because leaving a sour taste in the consumers mouth during the first of the year (resolutions) will do quite a bit of damage to the companies bottom-line and future in this rapidly growing market. I have a feeling there will be multitudes of partially used Vivofits and Vivosmarts on clearance soon as they begin to get returned. If you bought one recently, do yourself a favor and check the receipt for when you can return it. Garmin will not take it unless you specifically bought it from them. I feel sorry for all the people I train that I convinced that Garmin was the way to go and they spent their hard earned money over Christmas to get their families on board this program that has only run smoothly for 3 days since 18 Dec 2014.

    I put up a post 12 weeks ago re syncing issues, and got a response from garmin admin a week or so ago that they are working on this, well hallelujah, about time but a little too late, wake up to be kicked out and it starts as a new unit, no sleep, steps, body battery, watch now asks to use phone gps before starting workout and have to respond  on phone to start a workout (never had to before)..... constantly have to plus into pc to get a  sync,  but still data does not show. I have been more than patient, I am guessing tomorrow a fight begins when I take it back for a refund
