Garmin connect android, Samsung Galaxy S4...constant Bluetooth error notifications

This is driving me crazy...I connect my Garmin 510 via b/tooth to the mobile garmin connect app, to upload my ride, which works fine. However once I switch off my 510 after uploading the ride, I get contact vibrating notifications on my phone from the Garmin connect app for " Bluetooth troubleshooting". Obviously the app thinks the 510 has disconnected from the phone in error....I can't seem to stop the notifications...they keep coming for hours after I have turned off and disconnected the 510. Even if I clear Ram and/or force stop the Garmin connect app, the notifications keep coming every minute or so on my phone! It is so annoying to have the phone constantly vibrating!

Does anyone knows how to disable these vibrating notifications?

Thank you in advance

Matt

I'm having the same problem with my 920xt on a Samsung Note3. I ended up unpairing the 920xt from the phone and turning bluetooth off. Currently downloading activities using a wifi hotspot off the phone. I believe this started occurring after the latest Android Garmin Connect update.
  • Same here on my 920XT and Samsung S5. I use Bluetooth only sometimes on the watch and when i disable it, i get those annoying dialogues with vibration on my mobile....
  • I'm not surprised I'm not the only one.....I've really hunted around on my phone and the app and there is nothing that can be tweaked to disable these really annoying vibrating notifications ..

Does anyone from Garmin or one of the experts on here have a view?? Maybe it's something that should be BC addressed in a future ago update...??.

Please update to version 2.7.2. The annoying Android notification has been removed. :)
  • Yay...I was hoping that would be the case... Have updated to 2.7.2 and will see how it goes when I sync with my run tomorrow morning!
  • I have v 2.11.4 and still have this issue. Such a terrible design. The old fix for me was to clear data and force stop Garmin Connect. Of course I couldn't sync anymore but you do get use of your phone back.

The new version does allow you in Application settings on Android uncheck show notifications. Do this for sanity to return.
