My vivo smart will only read emails not text. It saus I have a message but it won't display what the message is.
I don't have a vivofit but I do have a Edge 1000. I've noticed that if I have the preview message settings turned off on the lock screen and the status bar of my Galaxy S5, I will get the same thing that you are experiencing. It seems that Garmin notifications for text messages relies on the preview message to get you message body, not the actual text message. Go into the settings for text messages and then go into the notifications sub menu. The Preview Message options are there. I hope this helps.
