Re-connect requiring code since update

My three vivofit units got the 2.8FW updates and GC got updated to 2.7.1 and now I get the Blueetooth reconnect message with code every time I leave my phone behind. It's extremely annoying as it was working fine before (kind of) with the exception that my FR920XT would not sync activities and steps even when it was connected to GC. The sad news is that it still doesn't sync those things but the connection is far more fragile and flaky and reconnecting with PIN is a huge pain in the ass several times a day.

It happens on both my Galaxy S4 running 4.4.4 and FR920XT with fw2.57 beta, it happens with my wife's Galaxy S4 running 4.4.4 and Vivosmart on fw2.8 and it also happens on my kid's iOS 8.1.2 with Vivosmart 2.8fw. Looks like the fixes follow the "let's throw some turd on the wall and see what sticks" methodology....

So far no turd stuck, it just keeps rolling down and my wrist is in a constant mode of vibration.

The same problem in my Motorola Moto G 1st gen and vivosmart (gc 2.7.1, fw 2.80). After bt connection lost re-pair with PIN is required. Sadly this issue makes vivosmart's notification function useless.

Found solution for Moto G. After adding vivosmart as trusted device (in security options) phone successfull reconnects after connection lost.

Unfortunatelly trusted device solution was working only for a while.

Can Garmin give any idea when they plan another release? Or can they just authorise a refund? This is getting ridiculous.
