Sony Xperia Z3

Just had a quick look through the compatible smartphone list and was a little shocked not to find the Z3 listed.

Does anyone know if the Connect Mobile features work on the Z3 please?

Decided to upgrade from WP which doesn't look like it will ever be seeing Connect Mobile and it looks like I've gone for a smartphone which isn't supported!!

FML :)

Another update for GMC. Now I've got things working as they should, I'm kinda reluctant to update just in case it screws everything up.

So far, I'm really happy with how things are working. The connection seems stable and I haven't noticed any disconnections.

i've done the update and it's still not working on my note 4,if its working i would leave it as it is
  • The latest Android app update - version 2.13 - seems to finally connect my Edge 1000 with my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact!

I've not tried it fully, but for the first time the app synced with the Edge 1000 successfully having never done so before. And the app can talk to two Garmin devices at once (a maximum of two I should note). So in my case, that can be my Edge 1000 and my Vivosmart watch, the latter of which has always worked with the Z3.

Anyway, it's worth giving another go with this update!
  • With the last update of Garmin Connect mobile, on my epix and my Z3 it is imposible to Connect with bluetooth. With the other no problem, one step back......

    still waiting...

I'm wondering if this issue ever got resolved for Garmin owners using the Xperia Z3?
  • As far as I can tell, the only issue is that location services need to be on to connect to any phone running Marshmallow. It's not limited to the Sony.
