Unfortunately, the Nexus 5 is not included in the list of "compatible" devices. It tends to lose pairing unexpectedly. I've heard some users having some success with kicking off a "scan" (in bluetooth settings), then exit out of the settings screen and launch Garmin Connect Mobile to setup a Garmin device.

I have the Nexus 5 and used it all summer with the Forerunner 220 & the Garmin Connect app without any problems.
  • Does anyone know how to get the Garmin Connect app back on an Nexus 5, Android 6.. It was working great but I got a new Garmin watch and deleted the app.. but now its no longer available in Google Play Store.

Wierd thing is if I log in to Google PLay Store on the old interweb, its shows me that Connect is installed.

Is there any way to force, the old version that supported the Vivoactive 3, it back to the phone ?

  • You might be able to install an older version of Garmin Connect Mobile from an APK archive. There are several unofficial APK archives available on the web. At your own risk, of course.

  • I'd certainly be willing to do that, it was working well before I deleted.

Any place I might look to find the last supported version, or at least which version was the last supported version of the Nexus 5 ?

I found a post saying similar, that maybe I could email the APK to the account I use on the phone, save it, the perhaps access the APK in the files.
Not really sure if that would work, but if I find it 'll try.
