Fenix2 - unstable BT connection with android devices

I have a Fenix2 (now with the latest fw 3.90). I try to sync it with 2 different android devices:
-Nexus II. tab (4.4.4)
-Sony Z1 Compact (4.4.4)

The problem is some on both devices: the BT connection is very unstable. Sometimes the Fenix2 can connect, but no sync. Sometimes - after some reconnects, BT or system restarts - can sync, but it's very rare.
If I try to make a connection, the android device's BT manager says: Fenix2 needs to pair. Press OK. Then the android needs the pair code, what I see on Fenix2. Enter the code, OK. After some seconds the Fenix2 displays: connected! But sync or not - randomly. Then the connection is broken...
Yes, I saw the very short compatibility list. But need to ask: can we hope for a solution? Just because the hardware is ready for BLE, sometimes the connection and sync are working. More stability, please! :)

    I have had similar poor experiences trying to sync data over bluetooth to any of the several android devices I own. Since the fenix2 doesn't seem to support downloading over ANT+, the only way I'm able to reliably get data from the device is using the USB cable. This is a significant step backwards from the convenience I've come to expect from previous Garmin products. From what I understand, it's a work in progress, but I wasn't really expecting to pay $400 to be beta tester. I have the same question as MAGPET: can we expect any improvement in this area or would I be better off shelving or returning the fenix2?

    I've been getting stable connections with my Fenix 2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
  • it's very ridiculous that garmin is not able to fix this problem... they think only to produce a new device every 5 minutes and they don't listen to the requests of the user (garmin connect mobile is useless, you can't create anything, you can't see everything you have on the site and it doesn't work good)

    My problem is the same as MAGPET.
    Currently using Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (android 4.4.4) and Garmin Connect 2.4.1. My Fenix 2 already updated to fw 3.90
    Used to get stable connection before this but unable to sync after updating Fenix 2 fw 3.90.

    Garmin Connect Mobile sync issues with Android device and Fenix

    Garmin wake up!!!!!![/QUO

    I have a HTC M8 and a Fenix watch. Constantly losing connection between the two. Then you have to re-pair everytime!!! I wish
    Garmin would address this issue.
  • after the firmware update, i tried to sync two time... one with 6 request of pairing and no sync, one with seven request of pairing, and a 5 minutes sync... thanks garmin

    I am having similar issues. I am on a significant fitness journey and have a lot of people following my workouts and not being able to sync via BT is really causing me some indigestion. As a software developer, I can't understand why Garmin is releasing products with these issues!

    Garmin, can I offer any assistance? The fenix 2 is an awesome product, and would be more awesome if all features worked as expected!

    I am using LG G3 and have the same problem on BT connection. Garmin please fix this problem asap

    Same problem here Xperia SP on android 4.3. Fenix2 firmware 4.0
