Vivosmart Music controls problem with skip

The only thing the music controls seem to support on iOS 8 is the native music app. PLEASE ADD SPOTIFY SUPPORT

Bumping! This is a HUGE downside. I have xbox music and we need support to just control any music app playing like that of headphones.

It didn't event occur to me that it would only support the music app and not spotify etc...

This is a huge downside as stated above.

Please fix it.

I agree. Having a music feature should mean that it is functional for all popular playback devices. I read this may be a Spotify issue as it doesn't respond to certain default commands. If that is the case, Garmin should open a ticket with Spotify and link others to it.

Ill repeat as others have mentioned. This is a huge downside (Think about when you are in the gym and working out).

I got the same problem with spotify.
When I use spotify with my kenwood radio ( BT connected) the skip function does work on the radio. spotify does support this.

It looks like a wrong event is sent out by the vivosmart.
(got the same problem with a other player as well.)

Music services such as Spotify, Pandora, Rhapsody etc, are here to stay.
The only way to make them work right now on an IOS device is to jailbreak your phone.
My Shure SE 535 headphones control these services just fine on an Iphone. There is no reason you can't make this small change.
It is little quality of use issues that are either going to make your product a hit or a giant flop.

My car radio can skip pause etc... very disappointed Vivosmart can NOT!!

FIX THIS GARMIN. There is no reason your $170 band only can control the native music app on the iPhone. I use Pandora, Slacker etc. and you device does not send the standard play, next and previous command as just about every other controller in the world does. Very simple fix please add to next software update!!!!!!!

I bought a vivosmart band in part to control Rhapsody on a HTC one at the gym or running without pulling my phone out, all my bluetooth devices can do this, even a very cheep bluetooth speaker. All the vivosmart can do, however, is control the volume, or restart the app if i press skip or play/pause. This is very disappointing. If all my other bluetooth devices can change my music, I don't think it should be too hard to fix this.
