Cannot stop LiveTrack session

Vivofit
Nexus 5

Started my first attempt at LiveTrack. Device connected but then lost connection through the activity. When I click the Stop LiveTrack button and select Yes in the resulting prompt, nothing happens. The Disconnected LiveTrack session remains.

I've rebooted the phone to see if I could flush it out but when I start the Connect app, the LiveTrack session starts up again, with the eyeball in the system notification area.

Any idea how to stop LiveTrack when the normal methods don't work? Don't want to reinstall the app but that's the next attempt if nothign else works.
  • I have the same issue with my Android Note 8. Can't end a livetrack session. Has anyone managed to end the session? You click on "end the session" but it just keeps running.

I just press the Start/Stop button on my Edge 810 followed by the Save button, I then get a message saying Uploading followed by either Upload Failed or Upload Successful and a Livetrack Ended, there's a message on the phone saying Livetrack Ended from Device (or words to that effect).

Edit: I've just re-read your post and how can you even do Livetrack with a Vivofit? as there's no GPS data.
  • No joy there
I'm connected using a Samsung S3. Start/Stop on the 810 does not release the livetrack session.
I'm thinking the alternative is to uninstall garmin connect on the S3
  • I've run into a similar problem. They battery ran out on my 810 in a ride and I haven't been able to stop the Livetrack session on my S5, even after rebooting the phone a couple of times. I even tried reconnecting the 810 but i was still unable to stop the livetrack session. I going to have try uninstalling Connect on my phone and re-installing. I think Garmin needs to get something in place that cleanly stops a Livetrack session if something goes wrong.

So, Garmin has provided a Livetrack stop feature on the Edge 520 i think...
