Samsung S4Mini and Edge 1000 No Smart Notifications

I upgraded the Garmin Connect to the new version but I do not get any option to turn on smart notifications.

I assume this is because the Samsung S4 Mini is not yet upgraded to 4.4.X and is still 4.2.2?

If So is there a new version coming out that works with 4.2.2 as it appears it may be a long time before the phone is updated it a version above 4.2.2

It's not the phone or the version of Android you are running. The Garmin connect app updated to show smart notifications under Home, Settings, Smart Notifications. But the Edge 1000 has not updated to sync with Android phones yet. Your Edge should have software version 2.30, hopefully the next update will allow us Android users to have the notifications!

Not that this would help, buy my Samsung S4 Mini says it is running 4.4.2. I'm on Verizon. I run my phone stock and do updates when they are pushed to me.
