Garmin connect android version 2.3 (with smart notification)

Just released android version 2.30

adds smart notification and bugfixes.

update your app and watch/ unit.

Make sure setting in app and unit are correct.

first test show great result in my fenix 2

Can someone confirm whether the smart notification feature for android actually works yet on the Edge 1000.?

Not yet. It requires a firmware update to the 1000, that has yet to be issued. Last I read at dcrainmaker is sometime late summer..........

In the software under settings, it says Smart Notifications Enabled, 0 Subscriber(s). How do I add a subscriber? I use as Forerunner 220.

The edge 1000 did have a update .
Smart notifications are available on the EDge 1000 now.

Subscribers are added when a unit / watch is connect by bluetooth and smartnotification are active.

The FR220 doesn't support smart notifications, it does support live tracking.

Nexus 5 does support smart notifications.
( tested with my Fenix2 and vivosmart )

Will there be an update for the Edge 510 also to use Smart Notifications?
