You will need to update the software on your edge 1000, too. I am not sure when new software for the edge 1000 will be available.
The 810 has a notification if the power of the smartphone goes 15% and lower. So there is the function of notifications but the 810 doesnt show the new ones. Hope it will come in further firmware update.
Anyone having problems with the galaxy note 2? I've successfully updated the software on my gpsmap 64s to version 3.10 and I'm running the latest Garmin Connect but no notifications are coming through
