Sync Fenix with Garmin Connect

I have upgraded Garmin Connect (GC) to 2.2.3 and my Fenix to 4.50. I use Fenix and GC with German language, therefore there might be some minor differences in my translation compared to the original UK messages. Then I have paired the 2 devices and GC tells me that Fenix is connected. The bottom of the GC screen says 'Synchronizing with Fenix' but I never see any data from Fenix in GC.
Under the 'Info' tab I found a entry: 'Device Synchronisation Ceck' with the entry:
******* sync result *************
Upload Status=FAILED.....

Has anybody successfully synchronized Fenix with GC? Is there any description how to proceed?
My main intention is to change routes and tracks between Fenix and GC.

Best Regards,
Lothar
  • I can get it to work almost every time, but it is slightly complicated.
I need to re-pair the Fenix and the phone every time.
I put a profile on the Fenix which has Bluetooth on all the time (all other profiles have Bluetooth off).
When I want to sync, I select that profile.
Then I turn on Bluetooth on the phone, search for devices, and pair with the Fenix.
Then I start Connect Mobile, it finds the fenix and syncs, which takes a couple of minutes. During the sync you see a blue bar saying 'synchronising with fenix'. When the sync finishes, you see a green bar reporting success, which vanishes after a few seconds. If it fails, you see a red bar reporting the failure, which stays on screen for longer.
I exit Connect Mobile, put the watch into another profile. I go to the Bluetooth settings in the phone and unpair the Fenix, then turn off Bluetooth on the phone.

The first time it synced, it took a long time, and since then it has been faster. I deleted all my workouts from 4.40 and earlier from the Fenix.

I have only sent workouts from the Fenix to GC so far, I haven't tried to send a route to the watch yet.
  • I've updated the watch to 4.70 and GCM to 2.3, and it still needs to be re-paired every time. Frustrating.

I'm having this same issue. Has anyone found a solution or a another thread where this is being discussed?
