Calories widget

The calorie widget is a great new feature. It links the calories consumed recorded in myfitnesspal fine. H

However it does not recognise the calories as exercise or active recorded in garmin or myfitnesspal. How come?

Activities recorded with my Vivofit are recognise correctly and count them on my NET Calories but activities recorded with my Edge 810 does not recognise at all :(

I am having the same problem, I am using a forerunner 220. I complete my workout but it does not show up in the calories widget even though it is in the activity screen correctly with today's date. And it is also not passed to MFP at all. I have now tried three workouts and got the same result for all.

I am having the same issue. The calories consumed does come over from My Fitness Pal, but the calories burned do not register in the Garmin connect app, and are not exported to MFP even though the activity does display on the dashboard. Calories burned displayed in the calories widget stays at 0.

I am in the same pickle. I use a Vivofit with a Heart Rate Monitor and after working out it accurately records the calories I burned in the Connect app under Activities, but it will only sync over to MyFitnessPal that I burned off a much smaller fraction of the actual number. Everything from what I can tell is set up correctly on both ends and I eve made sure the "Enable Negative Adjustments" option in MFP was enabled. Is there a plan to correct this or will I just have to continue taken the total number of calories burned in Connect, subtract what MFP has and then just add a miscellaneous entry in to make up the difference?

Here's the kicker; link your MyFitnessPal account to Strava, log in your workout in Strava, PUM! everything is synced...

Garmin has to fix this ASAP, they can't allow correct syncing from Strava and not from Connect.

Does Strava work with the Vivofit though?

Meh, never mind. The calories sync from Strava to MyFitnessPal, but still they don't sync from MyFitnessPal to Mobile Connect.

This is another would-be-great-feature that is half-assed by Garmin.

Garmin Connect receives calories consumed data from MyFitnessPal, but not activity calories.
Connect sends active calories from your wellness device (vivofit, or Forerunner 15), and as
of yesterday, active calories from activities (such as cycling and running) to MyFitnessPal.
So, you no longer have to enter activity calories manually on MFP.

This is correct, I guess it was "fixed" in the latest fenix 2 (for me) and/or connect updates.
