I have a Samsung galaxy s4 and am also having problems. I have the connect app installed on my phone but the phone will not stay connected to the vivofit.
Therefor when trying to sync data it will not sync. I have checked my android version and it is 4.4.2. It pairs just fine and will say connected but then just disconnects itself. Any help??? I am about to return it.

Your vivofit came packaged with an "ant" usb stick. I would suggest you use the ant stick and the http://software.garmin.com/en-US/express.html software to upload your current data from the vivofit to Garmin Connect. Express will also ensure your vivofit is running the latest firmware version. Then disconnect, walk for 5 mins, and put the vivofit into sync mode. The Android app should send all the data to Connect.
