My iPhone 5S finds the Fenix 2 in Settings>Bluetooth but the Garmin App is so lame it does not synch and download activities to Garmin. My Garmin Vivofit is more reliable a device to synch via BT than my 400 dollar Fenix 2!
I think devices on android 4.4+ can pair with it, but not 4.3. My nexus 7 can find it, and so can my S3 running ported stock 4.4 from a Note 2. So I think it's a combination of 4.3 devices not being able to see it yet, as well as the fact it's not really compatible with android yet. While they can be paired, they can't do anything. I've also found with my N7 that it will see it on the initial pairing, but if I try to connect to it later on the N7 won't see the Fenix, although it is still listed as a paired device.
We're just gonna have to wait for android compatibility, and I have a feeling that's gonna take a while.
Can anyone confirm that Andriod 4.2.2 (KitKat) is compatible with the Fenix2?
You mean 4.4.2 ? because KitKat is 4.4.
I've got a Nexus 5 ... so Android 4.4.2 : - with 2.70 firmware... I could link F2 and Nexus ... but nothing else append (no notification, Garmin Connect Mobile didn't recognize it). - with 2.90 firmware .. I couldn't link F2 and Nexus : F2 says that it's linked .. but the Nexus didn't (it asked the registration number again and again).
I've had the same thing happen, the Fenix2 says it did but it really isn't. Hopefully they'll have that fixed soon. Had the watch for a week, haven't had a real issue besides spotty GPS. DCRainmaker mentioned somewhere the Fenix2 team has firmware schedule of 3-4 weeks, so another one is due in the next 2 by my count.

4.2.2 is still Jelly bean, and I believe the bluetooth profile needed to be able to connect to the F2 are only available in 4.3 and 4.4. Not that it works yet anyway.
