Workarounds for sync issues?

Hi. I have a Sony Xperia Z1S and a Garmin 220 that I just bought. After my first run yesterday, I was able to sync up with the phone and upload a run. After the second one today, it didn't work.

I have been trying to see if there's a workaround that works... Is there any way to do either of the following with the Android app (and/or the watch itself)?

  • Force an upload from the watch (and/or the phone) to make it sync a particular workout
  • Unpair the watch, and re-pair it so that I can force a re-sync?


I can't seem to do either of these. Alternatively, I'll take any other workaround...

This has not been a good experience thus far. I like the watch, but being able to upload through the phone was a fairly important selling point for this watch.
