Course Elevation Displaying as 0

I recently created a course on my PC and wanted to view it on my tablet. When I downloaded the GCM app, and opened the course, I noticed the elevation gain is 0. This is also true for my other courses. I assume this is a bug, so I decided to report it here.

Some other first impressions of the app.
Only portrait mode, annoying to use on Nexus 10 when default orientation is landscape.
Courses don't have ability to toggle mile markers, or change map type to satellite for example. This appears to be the same when viewing an activity.
I can't seem to figure out how to unlock badges, I have uploaded close to 1,500 activities and still don't have any badges.
Would be nice to be able to create/edit workouts and courses, but I know the app is new and still has a long way to come.

    I've noticed the same thing.

Courses created from scratch won't state a value Total Elevation Gain (all state "+0 m") but those created from a recorded activity do. In my experience, values that are stated tend to be pretty accurate, even for routes which have been extensively modified from the original recorded activity (using the same Garmin Connect Course Planner). This is in contrast to other sites (namely MapMyRide) for which the Total Elevation Gain for a plotted route can easily be +/-50% of what it states.

Not sure if the "+0 m" thing it's a bug or a deliberate limitation of the GC course planning feature (perhaps to stop it giving you dodgy figures when there's not at least some accurate starting data to work with) but either way, I wouldn't expect a fix until the "modern" version of GC launches in full and even then, it's probably fairly low down the list of priorities.
  • GC seems to be holding elevation profiles now (it used to loose them) but still in the ap the profile doesn't seem to get there. This says it is a bug, and the fact that it is 2015 and still there shows that it is, indeed, low down the list...
  • How hard can it be to fix?

This is a frustrating bug. Marketing the 510/810/1000 as being wireless for transferring data is great, but here's an example where it just doesn't work. The two reasons to have a course on the Edge is to see the map and the elevation profile. It's crazy having to plug the Edge into a PC to download a course (it also takes forever to do it that way).

Hopefully this will be fixed but I won't hold my breath.
