Login with Google account connected to Garmin Connect in Garmin Fit?

Hi,

I have my Google account connected to Garmin Connect and just bought the app Garmin fit for Android. However, I can't seem to be able to login to my Garmin Connect account with my Google credentials, and I can't create a new Garmin Connect account since my Gmail adress is already in use.

Solution?

The app says you can log in with your email address or username. It does not work with email address. I logged in to garmin connect on my computer and looked up what my username was and it let me log in using username.

If your username is your email address it might not work at all.

If you log to garmin in PC then you can reset you password.
i did it and was able to reset password. Connecting garmin connect with email and pass I was asked to give new "user name".- so i did
I was able to log in gamin connect through my phone and PC with email and pass but not to garmin fit.
Tried the garmin connect "user name" but it didn't work.
Then i saw that in forum is still my old "user name" so i tried that as login name to garmin fit and it worked!

very sloppy programming GARMIN :mad:

Yep

I've read a review somewhere that mentioned Garmin is known worldwide for great products, but poor programming. Sounds like this fits into that category. Hopefully they will work with Google Fit and we can avoid some of this mess going forward.
