Compatible Devices

I ordered a vívofit and I use a Verizon Moto X running Android 4.4.2. Does Garmin Connect work on the Moto X and will the vívofit sync with the Moto X?

You can navigate to the Garmin Connect app on the Play store to see if your device is compatible.

Below the Install button, it should say whether it is or not.

Install is one thing, but actually work and sync over BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) is another. Before spending the money, it would be nice to know if it works. I could always buy and try. If it syncs with the Moto X, that would be awesome. If not, I can sync using the ANT+ dongle on my desktop computer, just like I do my Garmin Forerunner 610. Does Garmin need beta testers for the Moto X and vívofit?

Compatible Devices

Following a support ticket exchange with the team, I was directed to the faq that lists compatible devices.

Its a pretty small list at the moment, and my Nexus 5 isnt on there. So far though, I have been able to pair the devices and sync runs, the bug I raised being that the pairing is forgotten every time bluetooth is turned off / phone reboots. As I need to turn my phone off for work, that a problem for me! :(
Can Garmin provide assurances that they are working on these bugs, and any kind of roadmap / priority list of which devices they are looking at and when ?

Unfortunately, Nexus devices are inherently problematic. This is a good read as to why -- http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/533189/20140107/nexus-5-7-android-4-kitkat.htm#.UxCieF5yFvY. We tried very hard (trust me, a LOT of hours) to make Nexus work consistently, but in the end, it is just too unstable.

As far as a roadmap... all we can say is we are at the mercy of the manufacturers and the bluetooth chips they choose to put into the Android devices.

why garmin express doesn't works with forerunners like 910 xt, 405, and so on

Garmin need to improve its apps on android market, we are living tablets/ smsrtphones times and they are still working with microsoft that is good enough, but not is enough nowdays.

Unfortunately, due to the limited official support of ANT+ on Android smartphones, these devices will not be supported at this time.

Xperia L and Garmin connect mobile

Hello, I´ve got a Xperia L and i´m thinking to buy a garmin 220, is it compatible with my device? can it connect the phone with Garmin Connect Movile?

PD: Xperia L have Android 4.2.2 and bluetooth 4.0 i can read this in the manual "Connectable devices: Products supporting at least one of the profiles above. BT4.0 accessories generally require installation of a supporting application"
