Please include a change description in Google Play Store when you release a new version of Garmin Connect Mobile!
Please add a “total weight lost” feature. I would like to track how much I have lost since setting my goal. Even how much weight to go to get to my goal. Right now it isn’t easy to read how much I’ve lost…
Not improvement exactly in the Garmin Connect Mobile app itself but how about adding a sticky post on this Garmin Forum area with the latest version of the app in title and bullet point listing what has…
Along the same lines, even in the US, races are run in kilometers. Would be nice to get lap info at each k sometimes even tho settings are Imperial
JFYI, the lap distance can be set for each activity type individually directly on the watch (press the GPS/start button » select the activity » press-long the menu button » activity Settings » Auto Lap » Auto Distance). So even if your watch is set to miles, you can set the metric distance to the equivalent in miles. It is actually unrelated to Garmin Connect. GC just displays the laps exactly as they were downloaded from the watch.
Yes, but I still need to convert things then. I know 3.1=5, but that's about it off the top of my head.
You just need to do it once, and can simply type to google "convert 1km to miles" to get the number (0.621). Once you set it on the watch, it stays there and will be transferred to GC each time - you won't need to convert anything.
And if you need auto-laps in miles for other workouts, simply duplicate the activity on the watch, and set the auto-lap to miles. You can then chose the right activity (either with auto-laps in km or in miles) before you start the run.
It would be very helpful if we could change the scales on the graphs ourselves manually if we desired (all graphs please). So many of the graphs include such a wide range (ie, resting HR up to the max during an activity) that the data represented is fairly useless. Either a manual entry for max/min or a slide bar would make the info in our training more effective.
Combine all of the activities training effect into a total score. It makes no sense to have say "Treadmill" Aerobic effect at 4.0 and Swimming at 2.0 and not combine them to what the total effect should be. How do we know if we are pushing ourselves in a day if we can only view our scores individually for each activity? This also makes me wonder if the Recovery Time is accurate because after a run it said recovery 24 hours. Then I went on a step climber for 20 minutes intensely and weight lifting it said recovery 24 hours. So even though I did multiple things it still keeps the same value? Your app needs a lot of work. I expected more. It's way too vague. It needs more fitness progress type of gauging rather than just individual stats for each day.
Hi,
Currently I can only challenge co workers to steps. Some goto orange theory (rowing, weights and walking) while I walk and do bikram yoga. I like challenging them but its hard where we don't do same activities. You can only challenge via an activity versus something common like calories or longest heart rate in the orange or red.
Would this be a possibility? Thanks. This makes exercise fun :)
I agree with this. It's so demotivating to display only the last change in weight in My day. Please show total change (even in the past 12 months would be great). Seeing 0.8kg or whatever has such a negative effect on me!
