Language bug - mobile app X website

Found a new bug... If I have my mobile set to one language (Portguese - Brazil, in my case) and use the Garmin Connect website in another (English - US), then the phone setup changes the configuration of the website making it show up in Portuguese (apparently from Portugal, which is different from what we speak here in Brazil and why I use it all in English).

Why do the phone language has to change the setup on the website at all? And why can't I change the language of the app, instead of having to change the language of the phone (what causes issues with voice commands and the voice recognition system)?

No-go for that...

In version 2.0.1 of the Android app, upon successful sign-in, the code updates your language on Connect Web to the "language" the Android device is currently set to. The reason for this is because when the mobile app requests data from your Connect account, some of that data arrives already translated, according to the "language" set in Connect. So, imagine, that the language is NOT updated upon sign-in. So now you have Portguese set as the language in Connect, and the "US/english" locale set on your Android device. On the "activity details" screen, for example, some labels and text would be in Portguese, and others would be be in English. We actually saw this happen during development, and decided it was best to keep the languages synced up. I see your delima though.

I would prefer it all to be in English, even though I use my mobile in Portuguese due to the voice recognition facilities provided by it. Or, if I could help translating the website to Brazilian Portuguese, then that would also be acceptable since I would see the correct words on both cases (website and app).

    I'm with the same issue.
Please, stop changing my language settings from connect website!
The old Android APP does not cause this problem, so there is a way to do it!!!
