Downloaded data

I have recently downloaded all the my data from Garmin, receiving a zip file containing all the information. I have tried to read the data by opening the files but it appears not to be in a readable format.

Can anyone else advise how I can view the information?

Most of the relevant data is in the FIT file format, which is indeed not directly readable. You need a viewer, or a conversion tool. Many 3rd party apps, and AI agents, can work with FIT files directly without problems, though. Otherwise, there are plenty of FIT file viewers, and converters available online. I tried viewing the data in a FIT file viewer but it did not make sense in terms of how I wanted to vie the activities.

I have since found that the data can be downloaded as a .CSV file from the Connect app. It is also possible to view all past activities in the app, which gives me what I was looking for.
