I occationally use the „Add manual activity“ feature to loosely track short cycling commutes. I recently noticed that manual activities now get marked as „Benefit: VO2max“. That is obviously incorrect for a relaxed commute and I wouldn’t expect any benefit analysis anyway since there is no accurate HR data for that time frame. It used to just not show any „benefit“, that has only been added a few weeks ago.
For me it’s only mildly annoying, but the same happens for my partner – and he has a watch that supports the trainings load metric and that gets messed up massively by this bug. The supposedly huge training load from the manual activity gets added and even if one deletes the manual activity afterwards the load still stays high even though the activity is gone. Very, very annoying, it renders this feature useless for at least a week!
I maybe found a workaround by setting the duration to 1 second when first adding the manual actitivy and then editing it afterwards but that should not be necessary and I’m not sure it works every time or I was just lucky. Same behaviour if I use the browser instead of the Android app.
In my eyes this is clearly a bug. Please fix this.
