A couple of days ago I installed Garmin Connect on my Google Pixel 9 phone. I'm looking to "de-google" my life and wanted to try out Garmin Pay before I take the plunge and buy a Garmin watch. I happened to be in the middle of a long bike ride at a cafe when I installed it.
When I resumed my bike ride my Wahoo cycling computer kept disconnecting and reconnecting. I also couldn't upload a route from my phone. I tried rebooting the Wahoo but the problems persisted. I then remembered that I had had similar problems in the past when I had an older Garmin watch. So I uninstalled Garmin Connect and the problem went away.
Has anybody else had similar problems with Garmin Connect causing bluetooth connection problems between their android phone and other devices? Any solutions / workarounds? My purchase of a Garmin watch is on hold until I'm confident I can install Garmin Connect and use Garmin Pay on my phone without impacting other devices.
