I am getting multiple notifications on my phone stating Phone Location Active

I had to set the location setting on my iphone to 'Always' as opposed to 'when only using the app'.  Otherwise I was asked almost daily about allowing the app to use my location info.  Even still, my iphone will ask me every week or so if I still want to allow the app to be set to 'Always'.

I have location permissions set to "Allow all the time' and still receive an almost hourly notification that it's in use.
Any solutions???

That sounds like a notification from the phone directly if it is alerting you that an app (whether it is Connect or not) is using your location. That isn't a notification that would come from Connect.  

Thanks for the reply. The notification is directly from the Connect app, not a generic Android/system notification, and pops up anywhere from 1-10 times per day which is really quite annoying.
I'm not seeing any way to disable this particular notification, and would essentially need to mute all Connect app notifications to avoid this occurring.

It does not seem to be a common case with Connect on Android phones. If you use an iPhone, please post on the iOS subforum. This one is for Android only.

This looks like a notification from your OS. I have two different Android phones, and never get these alerts. What option do you get when you tap and hold on the notification, and then tap the cogwheel icon? Isn't it from the "Permission Controller", by hazard? If so, then there should be options to suppress those notifications for the Connect app.

What Garmin device are you using?

Tapping on the notification cogwheel opens the Garmin Connect notification settings, so definitely appears to be an in-app notification rather than system.

I've also disabled all device notifications & alerts within the Connect app, to no effect.

Device is the Garmin CIRQA Smart Band
