I'm trying to determine whether this is a bug, a configuration issue, or whether Garmin has removed this feature. I am using a Forerunner 965 running software version 28.05 and Garmin Connect on Android.
Earlier this year, while training for the Madison Mini Marathon, I was able to see 1) my current predicted finish time ("if I raced today") and 2) a projected race-day finish time based on continuing my training plan.
I specifically remember seeing both values in the Garmin Connect app under the race/training section for my Primary Race.
After completing the Madison Mini Marathon, that projected race-day prediction disappeared. I have since added the Madison Marathon as my new Primary Race, but I have never been able to get the projected race-day prediction to return.
Current status:
- Forerunner 965, software version 28.05
- Madison Marathon is set as my Primary Race
- Event type is Running
- Event goal is "Finish with a goal time"
- Daily Suggested Workouts are clearly race-adaptive and show structured marathon training phases
- The race widget on the watch is functioning normally
- Race Predictor shows a marathon prediction ("if I raced today")
- The race widget displays the current predicted finish time
- Weather and countdown information are present
- No course is attached to the event
What is missing is the projected race-day estimate that I used to see during my Madison Mini training cycle. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Can anyone confirm whether the "Projected Race Time" feature is still available in Garmin Connect and, if so, where it is supposed to be displayed?
Thanks!
