Can't connect "Edge 1030 Plus" to Samsung Fold 8 Android version 17 and OneUI 9.0

Hi,

I can not connect my "Edge 1030 Plus" to the latest Samsung Fold 8, Android version 17 and OneUI 9.0.

I can connected my "ForeAthelete 935" watch without any problems.

I have tried several times and also several times unpaired the "Edge 1030 Plus" from my paired Bluetooth devices.

I get notices that Garmin Connect wants to pair "Edge 1030 Plus" and also letting me ok the PIN CODE.

A half minute later I get the error message "setup was not successful"

Please advise and please also look into if there is any issues with older Edge devices and Android version 17 and OneUI 9.0.

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue. I tried with my z fold 7 and it works perfectly, but with my new z fold 8 i ca not connect my edge 1030 plus on garmin connect.

Maybe it is a compatibilty problem with android 17.

I hope Garmin will quickly fix this.

Yep same issue for me with the new Fold 8 Ultra and my Edge 530. Works great with my S25 ultra (previous phone) but won't pair with the new Fold 8 Ultra. Tried all the troubleshooting steps from Garmin and others and get the same errors as others here have mentioned.

Same here with the Flip 8 and the Edge 830.

Bluetooth BT seems to connect, BLE fails. I have also reached out to support, hope they can help to solve...

Today i upgrade my Z Flip 8 with latest August patch available for download. After that upgrade my Edge 1030 plus is once again connected to the Phone. No problem at all.

Had exactly the same issue. Got the system update yesterday from samsung, now pairing works like a charm!
