I’ve activated the auto-log feature, and it works well for most exercises—it correctly detects and logs them. However, when I record a Pilates session on my watch, the lifestyle auto-log doesn’t detect it

Pilates isn't stretching. It is pilates.
The auto logging will work with the behaviours listed in the auto-log page:

Pilates will come under Light, Vigorous or Moderate exercise based on the intensity of the activity. Stretching is not an activity so will not be logged. Even if you create a stretching activity (I have…

The auto logging will work with the behaviours listed in the auto-log page:

Pilates will come under Light, Vigorous or Moderate exercise based on the intensity of the activity. Stretching is not an activity so will not be logged. Even if you create a stretching activity (I have one for pre and post run stretching) it will only be logged as Light, Vigorous or Moderate exercise based on the intensity. Some things you just have to add manually as it works as a journal.
