Hello everyone,
I bought an Instinct 3 Solar a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love it to bits - I never was a watch guy, but it really helps me to stay focused and keep my training streak.
The only thing that currently worries me is, that my watch occasionally (happened 2 or 3 times now) has HUGE battery drops of 20% to 30% seemingly over night.
Of course I can not put my finger on it, what exactly causes it, or the exact point in time when it started.
Now I already optimized the watch very aggressively, turning off most things I do not need like smart notifications, Bluetooth during sleep, etc.
What I think would be a great addition to Garmin's smartwatches, or the Garmin Connect app, is a Watch Battery Graph.
This not only allows the customers to track down issues with their watch's battery, but also enables Garmin to receive better and more accurate feedback for addressing those.
Garmin Connect already shows the battery percentage of my connected Instinct 3 Solar, so it must receive that data - it would be great to have an entry when I open that connected device in the app, to view the history of battery percentage as a graph over the recent time.
There one could select the interval to display, and maybe change settings of keeping a data point every 5 minutes or so - I am very sure that the development department would be able to come up with sensible defaults and useful features :)
Yes, I already know about specific Connect IQ apps to show the battery graph.
Will look into those for the time being, in order to pinpoint the issue I might be facing.
Nonetheless, it would be great to have that feature built directly by Garmin, and having it on Garmin Connect tracking the battery graph is free in terms of computational overhead I can avoid running on the watch.
Best regards
