This morning I received a notification that my Garmin device had disconnected unexpectedly from Bluetooth. From the Garmin Status page it looks like this was to do with an app update.
After being unable to repair the device, I forgot the device on my phone's Bluetooth and tried again. The device still failed to connect. Therefore I performed a reset on the device and was successfully able to reconnect the device via Bluetooth and set it up again. However, the device will now not sync with my Garmin Connect app and just displays the watch on screen next to an equals sign and the connect app logo.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or general issues with syncing currently? Have you had this issue before?
Any advice on how to solve would be much appreciated.

PS the device is an original Venu watch.
