Can't edit cardio workouts

I've completed several workouts. Their results are saved in Connect. Some workouts are marked with an orange icon, others with a red one. I can view them correctly. But when I try to edit the erroneously accumulated data in the workout results marked with a red icon, I get a restart of the app. Always. In any case. Just by clicking the "Edit" button.

  • I can't. It doesn't even give me that edit option. Not sure why as it shouldn't matter which Garmin you have.

  • This is a user forum, if you want Garmin to know about the bug you need to report it to Garmin customer support

  • In one of the apps, I clicked a button or link that said something like, "If you have problems, click here." I don't remember exactly where it has. I was redirected to this forum. So the developers need to think about this, too.

    They thought. That's why they are redirecting people to the user forum in the hope, they find the answer here, and do not overload the Support lines. While it often works in the cases where no intervention from Garmin is needed, we cannot help fixing bugs. We can only provide workarounds. And in this case the using of Garmin Connect Web works fine, and you can use it while waiting for Garmin to fix the bug in the app.

  • I submitted a video of the problem and report to Garmin support. Unforunately, for whatever reason when I go online I also cannot edit or provide input for my workouts. It simply doesn't give me an option do so. Even if I go back to earlier workouts that have data input, it also doesn't give me an option to edit that info. So, I clearly am left in the lurch. 

  • Not sure whether by "workouts" you refer to the structured "Workouts", or to completed Activities. In the first case you can edit Workouts at https://connect.garmin.com/app/workouts (screenshot #1), and Activities after opening given activity, and clicking the pencil icon (screenshot #2). Both of them are functional.

  • Today I received the following email from Garmin Product Support:

    We're following up on the report we received that you were experiencing the issue mentioned in the subject line. We're pleased to report that this issue has been resolved with the 5.23 release of our Connect app, which is available now through your Google Please Store. Please update your Connect app and you'll no longer experience this issue.

    I confirmed that I’m now using Garmin Connect Mobile Android version 5.23. I completed a cardio activity and was able to edit the activity using the app without any problems.

  • This issue has since been resolved with the recent Garmin Connect app software version 5.23. If you are still seeing this issue ensure your application is up to date. If your software is current and you are still seeing issues with editing activities please contact live support, or create a new thread.
