No more connect+ ads please

There are more annoying things to be upset about. For example all Cookie consents that you have to click over and over again.

Yeah, for now.

But I'm not going to wait for things to be enshitified beyond repair to raise concerns.

Your watch will not become a paperweight. The current functions will stay free. New functions might or might not be Connect+.

All companies must make money and this is not the first one. If you use free Strava you will see their subscription being pushed to you all the time with no way to hide it.

How can you be so sure they won't paywall existing stuff? I have no doubt this will happen at some point.  Happened with so many services.. I'm so sick of subscription everything... Let them make money selling watches.

I moved from fitbit because of this. Guess I'll have to move again.

Why do you think other brands will not do the same thing? If they are free now then they will likely add it.

Because of the experience with others brand doing the same kind of move. Starts with paywalling a few things. Ends with a product that's useless without subscription a few years down the line.

So, you want to go to a different brand and think it will not happen there? It can happen anywhere at any time so just use it until there is something that will not work that you need.

I've got Connect+ and I got that "ad" as well. It is information about a new function. Since you don't have Connect+ you will instead get a button saying that you can try it for free. So, it isn't an ad for Connect+.

One more reason not to subscribe if it don't even remove this annoying pop ups .

Maybe you like this, but try to understand some don't.

And I'll keep complaining untill Garmin stop messing stuff, or I get something else ( the second, probably not anytime soon, just bought my Vivoactive.)

I like some stuff with garmin and I'll fight for improvements rather enshitification.
