Can I change the distance and pace source on a completed activity?

I completed a run using my watch connected to a HRM strap. However, I made the mistake of using the latter to determine distance and pace, and found out it undermined both significantly. Is this definitve, ie did the watch not count the metrics at all, since the strap was? Or can I somehow edit my activity using the watch as the source for both?

  • You cannot change the distance and pace source, but you can edit the distance and the pace will be adjusted accordingly, automatically too. However, the change won't have any impact on metrics like VO₂max, LTHR, or Training Load.

  • Thanks for the answer! That means manually setting the distance regardless of the recorded track? I mean, the two things are already independent, since an erroneous measurement by the strap which does not reflect the track I ran gave no error, but it looks like an odd thing to allow Grimacing

I have a further question on doing this: will it cause the pace measurement to be stably set to the average calculation, losing all the variability during the run? Or will the curve be kept, and all its values be adapted to the newfound values according to the stretched distance?

  • The average will change, the curve remains preserved. Just test it and you will see. The operation is fully reversible. You can restore the original anytime you want.
