Integration with Gym equipment

Is there any planned integration to LifeFitness or Technogym equipment? Garmin integrates to health connect to write data but not read data.

Ant+ I find very hit and miss with the fenix 7 and gym equipment.

Seems like a basic functionality that Garmin is missing

If the equipment is listed in the ANT+ Directory and actively broadcasts compatible data, the Fenix 7 can connect. Garmin Connect writes to Health Connect, but reading data isn’t supported. Gym equipment…

With Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, I could just tap the watch on the treadmill or the indoor bike and the activity started on the watch as well (relayed from the technogym equipment). Would love to have the same functionality with Garmin watches.

If the equipment is listed in the ANT+ Directory and actively broadcasts compatible data, the Fenix 7 can connect. Garmin Connect writes to Health Connect, but reading data isn’t supported. Gym equipment that only uses Bluetooth to transmit won’t connect to Garmin devices.

Unless Garmin announces something publicly, forum users aren’t privy to roadmap details, and Garmin staff would be unlikely to divulge future plans. Anything beyond what’s currently supported would be speculation.
