Android and Windows contacts not receiving Live Track

I use a 735XT. Recently some of my contacts that are set to receive Live Track do not get it. As nearly as I can tell, those who use iPad or iPhone get the Live Tracks but those who use Android and/or Windows do not get Live Track. An exception is that my wife and I do get the Live Track. 

What's causing this strange behavior?

  • Do you have email addresses to all recipients?

    With Connect+ you also get a static LiveTrack link so you don't have to spam everyone with new emails/texts every time you do a new activity. I use that so my wife can check that link if she wants to know where I am.

    You can change that link anytime you want. Nice to use if you want to post a tracking link to friends on Facebook if you do a race. Afterwards you can change it to something else so they can't continue to see everything you do.

  • Yes, I do have their email addresses and mobile numbers. Couldn't use Connect+. A check was done on my setup and found wanting. Not sure what that was all about. but it looks like Connect+ isn't for me.

    This morning I tried the conventional "preselected recipients" method instead of relying on my Sharing work-around. It worked, except I couldn't see my Live track!  So, I reverted to Sharing the Live Track with myself. That gave me the URL with which I immediately saw the Live Track.

    BTW for years I was able to see the Live Track while in the field simply by finding it as an email sent to Garmin.
