SLEEP TRACKING ALGORITHMS – IT IS TIME FOR AN UPDATE

It’s really time for Garmin to seriously improve the sleep tracking algorithms. Many of us have invested hundreds of euros in these watches, and yet the sleep detection is still far from accurate. Other companies (like Fitbit, Amazfit, etc.) are already providing much more reliable results.

If the sleep stages and durations are not correct, how can we fully trust the results for other metrics such as Body Battery or recovery status? Consistency and accuracy in the basics – like sleep – should be the foundation for everything else.

Isn’t it about time that Garmin puts real effort into updating and improving this core functionality? Customers would be much happier and more confident if our devices provided plausible and comparable results to other wearables on the market.
