Device Fenix 7 keeps disappearing off Garmin Connect

Fenix 7 device keeps disappearing as registered device on my Garmin Connect app. Everytime this happens I need to re-register. 

It used to happen about once a month, but now its almost every other day. 

Happens only to the Fenix 7 watch. Edge 840 solar and Index S2 scale I have never had to re-register.

Please advise. 

  • That happens especially on select Android phones like Samsung Galaxy A2*, Pixels, and perhaps a few others. For some reason, they tend to frequently remove BLE devices (Edge and Index are not BLE devices, they use the standard Bluetooth, not Bluetooth Low Energy). Sometimes, resetting all network settings on the phone can help, on others, an OS patch or update may fix it, and there are also other tweaks that can help, but it all depends on the exact phone model you use. Best googling "BLE problems" and similar terms for the exact phone model type you own.
