Recovery Time Fails to Update Across Devices

Primary Wearable & Primary Training Device:  Venu X1 (Soft Ver 12.70)
Sleep data from: Sleep Index Monitor (SoftDevice 7.00.02)

August 20 at 6PM: Ran 2K.
August 20 at around 8PM: Recovery Time on Garmin Connect App = 11 Hrs (Info under Training Readiness card)

August 21 : No Training or Activities at all.

August 22 at 8:30AM: Recovery Time on Garmin Connect App = Still 11 Hrs (Info under Training Readiness card)

August 22 at 8:30AM: Recovery Time on Venu X1 watch = Still 11 Hrs (Info under Training Readiness widget and Recovery widget)
August 22 at 10:10AM: Recovery Time on Venu X1 watch = 9 Hrs (Info under Training Readiness widget and Recovery widget)

August 22 at 10:10AM: Recovery Time on Garmin Connect App = Still 11 Hrs (Info under Training Readiness card)
August 22 at 10:10AM: Recovery Time on Garmin WEB = Still 11 Hrs (Info under Training Readiness card)

Issues:

Recovery time of 11 hrs recorded on Aug 20 did not update on either Garmin Connect WEB & Android or the Venu X1 on Aug 21 or Aug 22 (it should have reset to 0).
Please fix.

  • If you click the Training Readiness card you can see at what time it was updated. In the app I also see what triggered the update. "After activity".

    When the training readiness came is was not updated during the day. You got the training readiness in the morning and that would stay the whole day. That has changed now or it is updated a during the day, but not continuously. One event that will trigger an update is an activity. Another even is that you wake up. When I check my card now it says that is was updated at 16:33 today which was after I came home after my long run.

  • Thanks for the reply and info. Yes, I noticed the updates coming during the day and triggered by a number of activities, so it seems. Nonetheless Training Readiness tells me for example that I’m “ready to train” even when my Body Battery is at its lowest at 11PM and after a full day of activities including 18,000 stepe (242% more than my normal number of daily steps). That suggests these two metrics aren’t aligned and don’t cross-check each other, as I believe they should.

  • That is not how it is designed. It is only updated in the morning and after an activity. 

    Send a suggestion to Garmin to change it.
