How to track injuries in Garmin Connect?

I can't find a way to track injuries in Garmin Connect.

I think it would be very useful to find pattern to avoid trying to reduce future accidents.

Can someone point me to the page where I can record those infos or suggest to Garmin to consider this feature?

  • You can add a note to the Calendar

Otherwise, you can suggest a new feature to Garmin at Share Ideas | Garmin

  • Yes, thanks, but I was thinking about something more structured.

A note in calendar is not searchable and you can't recognize a note about injuries vs a note about everything else.

I'd like something searchable and structured: body part, severity, type of injury and so on.

Yesterday I strained my right calf; it would really help me to find previous occurrences to figure a way out.

  • Not available, but as written in my previous post, you can suggest it to Garmin. Though, do not expect any quick reaction. In the time being, you could also create a custom "activity", call it "injury", and record the injury as a brief activity. If you make it a copy of the Strength activity, you can even assign the muscle group by selecting an appropriate exercise for the concerned muscle. Or just write it in the activity Note. Activities (including the notes) are searchable in GC Web.

  • Thanks again.

I will try the "injury as an activity" suggestion.

I'm also going to ask Garmin for a new feature.

  • You can track injuries within Garmin Clipboard app.

  • Never heard of it before!

    Thanks, it does the job!!!

  • Nobody's working on new features and changes that would clearly allow tracking progress, wear, or problems over time. I've submitted the idea five times to expand wear tracking, and no one has addressed it. I just keep getting the same suggestions to submit the idea to Garmin. However, as mentioned above, I've done it five times, and the feature hasn't been updated for seven or eight years. I wouldn't expect them to add injury and absence tracking if they don't care about the existing features, which have needed modernization for years. As a beta tester since the program's inception and someone who has reported hundreds of bugs and listed countless issues, including those with the administration, I'm disappointed with this approach. The software department completely ignores user needs... It's incredibly frustrating.
