Venu 2S asks for pairing code with mobile phone

I am having a problem with the pairing code.  It's suggests 0000 or 1234 both don't work.  Now what do I do?  Trying to pair it with a new phone.  The watch is useless to me without it being paired.  Some one please help me.  Trying to do this for hours now.

  • The typical process for pairing with a new phone.

    • If you still have your old phone:
      • Open Garmin Connect Mobile, remove the Venu 2S from More > Garmin Devices, if it exists.
      • Uninstall Garmin Connect Mobile.
      • Open Android Bluetooth settings on the phone and "Unpair" the Venu 2S, if it exists.
    • On the new phone:
      • Open Android Bluetooth settings, make sure the Venu 2S is not listed, if it is, then select "Unpair."
      • Open Garmin Connect Mobile. Go to More > Garmin Devices, then remove the Venu 2S, if it exists.
    • Restart your android phone.
    • Restart the Venu 2S, then place in pairing mode.

    Press and hold the bottom right button to access the menu of the watch.
    Swipe and select the gear icon at the bottom of the menu.
    Swipe and select Connectivity.
    Select Phone.
    Swipe and select Pair Phone.

    • Open Garmin Connect Mobile, Garmin Devices, Add Device (do not use Bluetooth settings on the phone to pair the watch).
    • Follow the on-screen instructions.
    • The pairing code should appear on the watch so you can enter it on the phone using the Garmin Connect Mobile app.
