Activity not showing on watch

Completed an activity and it is not showing on watch. Also connected USB and activity not listed. Weekly mileage (on watch only) however includes the activity's distance. I might not have saved the activity on completion of run. Any means to recover this data?

Assume you've already checked the Garmin\Activity folder when connected to a computer? You can also check your watch for the FIT file in the TempFIT folder.
