Livetrack spectating

Hi

I'm currently tracking a family member who is on long distance walk in a remote area.  They have some health issues so tracking them was an important consideration bit I can't believe that Livetrack does not appear to be able to give me their GPS co-ordinates or link to What3words. Surely this is an obvious safety feature?

I use life 360 to track my kids and the user experience with that seems 100 times better, provided you have a phone signal.

  • In areas with streets it is easy to locate people, but in the wilderness it can be near impossible so getting the coordinates would be great. Suggest it to Garmin: https://garmin.com/ideas

The coordinates are available but require some computer knowledge:

    1. View the LiveTrack page
    2. Open the Developer Tools in your browser.
    3. Switch to the Network tab
    4. Look for the last graphql request and click it (there are two types of graphql requests in the list and one doesn't have a Response so click the other one)
    5. Switch to the Response tab
    6. Scroll all the way to the end of the response to see the last position

It is in json format which is pretty easy to understand:

Since the data is available it would probably not be too hard for a programmer to fetch that information with a userscript and inject it into the LiveTrack map or somewhere in the web page so it is available.
