Feature request. Share location from Google Maps to Garmin Connect.

Hi everyone,

I’d like to request a feature that would really improve the user experience with Garmin Connect.

Currently, it’s possible to share a location directly from Apple Maps to Garmin Connect, which immediately opens navigation on the watch – super convenient! However, the same functionality doesn’t seem to work with Google Maps. It would be great if Garmin Connect could support sharing locations directly from Google Maps as well.

This would be especially useful for users who prefer Google Maps for searching locations and planning routes.

Google Maps has now been added to Garmin, but it's currently limited to navigation functionality only – the Garmin map is still not visible. So, there's some progress, but the full functionality is still not fully implemented.

    The first time i tried to use my garmin watch to navigate i was stunned this wasn't possible. All the usual examples on how to navigate start with saving the location by going there! Talk about putting the cart before the horse! All alternative methods to upload them require other apps (potentially multiple ones), and/or multi-step processes. So absurdly clunky I'm practically never going to use it. D: Very disappointing.

    what exactly does this mean - "google maps has now been added to garmin"? I still can't see anything within the connect app to send locations or do navigation... I don't see any new features related to google maps or navigation at all....
