Change of registering my running activites

I have a problem with my normal running mode on my epix, which have started the last few months. I choose running in the APP trainer and just start it as I have always done.

But suddently after I got a new phone, my running is under interval stored as:

- Warm up

- Run

- recovery

- Run

- Recovery

and so on.

In the setting I have set my watch as auto lap til 1 K, but now it register it 1.8 (short short break) and not for each KM.

It just to be that I just started it, and it didn't decide if I have warm up , recovery or running.

Anyone know where I can change this setting back to how it was?

Just to say. I'm not using interval running, but just start up the watch. It seems like it registerer is as interval automatical, which I don't want.

  • I choose running in the APP trainer

Not sure what you mean by the "APP trainer", but if you do not want to make any predefined workout, just start the plain Run activity, without choosing any interval training, or another workout. Also, do not start any Daily Suggested Workout, if you have it enabled. Consider disabling the DSW if you do not intend using it.

  • Sorry for my bad english, which properly was a result in his misunderstanding.

The problem is that I start a normal runing actitity (which I ment with the app). I just choose running and start. I'm not going into interval or predefind workout at all

I click on top right buttom, choose running and start.

Any my actitivy is still registered as warn op, runing and recovery. First time I notice this, by first 2K was registered as warm up and didn't change before I push the lap buttom, because I had a short break (walk). I "fixed" this by pushing the lap buttom just after I have started the actitivy, so the warm up i skipped.

It has started since november - where I had a injury, so I haven't started up runinng before late janary. I have notice 1-2 update of my watch since.

The normal running actitity automatical register warm up untill i push lap buttom.

    I hope it make sense.

  • If you see any workout stages like "warm up", etc during the run, then it means you started a Workout. If you did not select any workout in the Training menu of the Run activity, and you did not set up any Training Plan in Garmin Connect, then it means you started a Daily Suggested Workout. When starting the Run, carefully read all prompts appearing on the screen, and if the watch suggests you a workout, be sure to skip it (press the Back button). Better yet, disable the DSW, as I wrote previously. The instructions are in the document I linked in my previous reply.

  • Daily workout was already on pause. I did that long time ago. And I checked it just now. And I'm not starting up any activities, as mention - unless it suddently does it automaticly. I just start a normal running activitly. It's like it register the interval by it self - and as mention it has happend with my last three run. In december it worked normally, because I had a try run outside.

The only thing that has changed since december is I got a new phone and therefore connected my epix to this one. I haven't changed any settings And I start my run as normal as mention.

But thanks for your suggestions, but so far it's not the problem.

I would take a screen shot, but my languish isn't english, so it properly wouldn't make sense.

  • Select the Run activity now (no need to go out), make a screenshot, before and after you start it, let it on for a few minutes (you do not have to run), then save it, and post a link to the activity here: open the activity in Garmin Connect Web, make it visible to Everyone (see the padlock icon in the top right corner of the page), and post here the URL from the address line of the browser.

You can also post a link of the previous Run, where the problem occurred.

  • And if you worry about your GPS location then start Treadmill activity, which should make no difference than Run apart not recording your location.
