Imported Data from Concept 3 not adding to intensity minutes.

I use a concept 2 Rower which is connected to their online log book.

I have set it up to synch with Garmin and it works.

I can see the workout coming over on the Garmin app, but it does not seem to add to my intensity minutes even though I had 30 minutes with an AVERAGE BPM of 144, which is 85% of max according to the Concept 2 rowing app.

anyone else having a similar issue?

  • If you want Intensity Minutes then you'll have to be wearing your Garmin watch during the exercise and have that in HR Transmit mode (even though you're not transmitting it to anywhere.)

I have a similar experience using Tacx.

  • Thanks very much I'll give that a try tomorrow morning.

  • Hi druidh,

I'm happy to report that your suggestion worked!  Not sure why, and I was skeptical, but it worked perfectly.

Thanks very much for your suggestion and your time!

For others that may have this issue: I use a Concept 2 Row Erg.   I have the C2 App and connect the rower via my phone to the C2 cloud log book.  I have a Vivo sport watch which does not have rowing as an activity out of the box.

I found I can use the rower to collect the workout data then send it from C2 logbook in the Cloud to my Garmin account in Cloud.

I went to Concept 2 app on line and there is place to send your log book to your Garmin account.

I got the workout to show on my Garmin app, but no credit for the intensity. Hence this post.

This morning I set my heart rate on my watch to transmit per druidh's suggestion.  I use a Garmin HRM connected to my Concept 2 account for the work out, so my watch is not connected to C2. but is on my wrist.

After the workout, I looked at my Garmin App and the workout was there, and I got intensity points as well.
