Auszeichnung

  • "Garmin Run Asia Series 2025 5k" is a race badge. You need to participate in the race in Japan or at least run the same course (in Japan) on that day to get the badge.

You can see the race course in the race page: https://www.garmin.co.jp/event/2025/garmin-run/

  • Thank you for your expertise.
However, this was not communicated in this way.
    It was described below:
To obtain the badge, it was necessary to run 5/10/21 km on January 13, 2025.

  • The description was "Record a 10-kilometer running activity during the Garmin Run Asia Series - Japan on January 13, 2025."

It isn't obvious that you must run the course, but that has been the requirement for all the Garmin Run Asia Series in 2024 (and 2025).

  • Well, unfortunately that's a fact... a pity.

  • Hallo e7andy,

Komisch.

  • Lots of people travel the world for races. So, this for them. There are several race badges every year for Garmin sponsored races.

The expeditions are something very different. It is just a way to measure your steps and ascent.

  • my thought is similar to , if it is only a local reward then it shouldn't be shown to users that are not in range to the place. Otherwise it could have benn placed in Competitions with this reward.

No matter - I ran my 10km yesterday. With or without badges ;)

  • There is no function to only show badges you are close to.

This is how it has always been. Race badges are visible to everyone since everyone can get them and Garmin wants to promote their races.

Local badges, typically local holidays, are based on the setting in your Garmin account. So, you can get them just by changing that setting no matter where you are.

There is also a 3rd variant which we've only seen a few times. Race badges that require a country change. I think that Garmin made a mistake when they added them since we haven't seen them in a long time.
